Building Relationships is the Key to PR Success: 6 Ways We Can Kick Ass Together!
A comprehensive list of all the ways we can collaborate to achieve PR success.
It’s no secret that I’m a firm believer in the power of relationships.
(I have an MA in Psychology, after all).
Artificial intelligence (AI) is cool and everything, but there’s no replacement for building solid relationships in business, or in life.
Most of my PR wins, including my features in Forbes, Entrepreneur, and PR Daily have come not from pitching more people, but from building relationships with the people I’m pitching.
Before I start to sound like a broken record, I’ll get to the point –
You probably landed here because you pitched me on HARO. Or maybe you sent me an email pitch suggesting I cover your story. Or maybe you stumbled here from Google, or one of my other blog posts. Hell, maybe I even sent you the link to this post!
At any rate, I’m guessing you want more media coverage and thought leadership opportunities for your brand or your client’s brand.
I totally get that, and I’d love to make that happen for you.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the bandwidth to cover every story I’m pitched.
And if I’m being completely honest, not every story I’m pitched is a story I want to cover either.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t build a relationship, and potentially work together down the line.
In fact, I think it makes a whole lot of sense for us to keep in touch. You never know how we could end up helping each other out.
So, as someone who loves lists, I’ve compiled a list of 6 ways we can potentially work together now or in the future. And of course, I’m always open to your ideas as well.
#1: First things first – staying connected is the name of the game.
- Follow me on Twitter and Linkedin
- Keep an eagle eye on my HARO queries
- Don’t forget to open my emails (Blair @ blair-nicole . com )
I’ll typically send emails to my contact list a few times a month to let them know about upcoming stories that I’m seeking sources for. These opportunities are 100% free.
By keeping in touch, you’ll be the first to know about future opportunities, so you can respond to source requests in a timely manner.
#2: Got guest post ideas? Awesome!
If you’ve got a great idea for a guest post topic, feel free to pitch me! But, before you do, check out our Contributor Guidelines.
I’m currently accepting guest post pitches for both the Media Moguls PR blog, as well as for an emerging mental health blog I’m in the process of launching. Submitting content is free, but there’s no guarantee I will publish it.
I’m willing to consider pitches on the following topics:
- Public relations tips and tricks
- Media pitching tips and trends
- Industry trends
- Branding tips and tricks
- The intersection of SEO, content marketing and PR
- Digital marketing & PR tools and resources
- Mental health
- Addiction
- Burnout
- Work-life balance
- Anything else that aligns with either of these broad topics!
If your guest post is selected for publishing, we may make a few edits to align with our audience, and to optimize for SEO. We will also share all posts on our social channels, and potentially with our email list.
#3: Let’s chat! (For a fee)

#4: Hire Me for Thought Leadership and Content Marketing
I don’t care what anyone says, content is still king. Or perhaps I should say: valuable, engaging, and strategic content is still king.
Content that effectively answers people’s search queries and aligns with search intent holds immense value. It’s the golden ticket to attracting and engaging audiences, getting your brand to the top of search engines, and becoming a true thought leader in your industry.
Meanwhile, subpar content quickly gets lost in the noise, failing to make an impact or provide the value that users crave.
Anyone can create subpar content, but very few can create content with an impact.
If content isn’t your thing, or if you’re struggling to develop content that gets ranked and shared, I can help!
I’ve penned stories for renowned names like Forbes, and my words have a knack for ranking high in search engines and going viral on social media.
By joining forces, we can supercharge your brand’s reputation and expand its reach.
I offer two pre-set Thought Leadership packages that will truly catapult your brand over the next 6 months, as well as a la carte writing services for $0.50 per word.

I’ll handle the nitty-gritty details, from building relationships with key media contacts, and developing customized media lists to pitching your brand through HARO.
True media strategy tends to be more of a long-term play, and all of my media pitching campaigns have a minimum 3 month commitment.
It’s a win-win: you get expert pitching skills plus the power of my network, while I get to champion your brand to the media.
